Summary

In the forest of Utahigashi an otherworldly sickness corrodes the soil and changes the creatures within. “A parting gift from the fallen angels” say the citizens of the Hyaku Region and the mark on your hand confirms it.

Though the scent travelling in the air is sweet and enticing everyone knows better than to get closer. But the mark, it pulses, it burns, the pain spreading as fast as the corruption of the forest does.

Your masters are calling, and it seems like this time you cannot escape them.

Features

• Customize your Shinzei Heir. Choose their gender, sexual and romantic orientation, and pronouns.

• The Shinzei Heir has a set backstory and fixed personality traits (quiet, introspective, self sufficient, intelligent, grief stricken, 25/26 years old). However, you can define whether they're playful or serious, bitter or kind, bold or prudent, and stoic or emotional.

• Stats will be locked in after a certain point in the story. Once the stats are set, acting out of character will make the characters react accordingly (they may be surprised to see you being compassionate instead of selfish, for example).

• Grief is one of the biggest themes of the story, as such, you can choose from four stages of grief for your Shinzei Heir to go through. This stat will determine the way your character reacts to memories and discoveries about their father.

• Main themes are grief, isolation, loneliness, but at the same time, forgiveness, companionship and freedom.

• Find your romantic or platonic partner among your allies.

• Choose from four different animals (serpent, dragon, wolf, cat) to make your familiar. Each of them has a different personality.

• Explore Kyou, a japanese inspired country, and discover the secret behind the sickness corroding the land.

• Receive letters from your allies and friends.

• A standalone story part of a bigger world.

• This world is on the verge of breaking. Can you save it from damnation?

[ SEI ] Shinzei | The Shinzei Heir

You play as [SEI], a young witch living in the tainted woods of Utahigashi. Though seclusion has made time appear infinite and your memories fleeting, you have still achieved father's goal: Become a Master Sorcerer.  But that might not be enough to avoid your pursuers or everything else putting your life at stake.

Hazuki Tamashiro | The Jewel Of Kawa 

Hazuki is Lord Sakuma Tamashiro's oldest son and his most precious treasure. Much like him, Kawa adores its jewel and relishes the few opportunities in which the young Lord is allowed outside the castle walls. Poised, gentle and kind, yet trusting and inexperienced, there is much still to learn about him, much he himself doesn't know.

Masami/Masaru Shiraishi | Devoted Retainer

Masa is the child of Yamato Shiraishi and Masato Shiraishi, both prestiged samurai in the service of the Empire and fallen to the osen. Taken in by the Tamashiro household, Masa has grown attached and protective of Hazuki and all his relatives, vowing to protect them much like their father once did. But things aren't always as simple as we remember, are they?

Miwa Imamura | Charming Performer

Unable to return to the home she once had, Miwa lives in Kawa, cared for by the doting owner of a popular tavern. She is cheerful and charming, yet regardless of her disposition, there at times where you can't help but feel like there is much she hides from you.

Klaus/Katja Rassé | Nostalgic Hunter 

K is one of her hunters, that much you know. Raised in a harsh, competitive and cruel environment, K learned there are few people (if any) they can trust. But there is conflict in their eyes when they look at you, as if they couldn't decide what to feel, how to deal with you.

Saori of Hanzo | The High Priestess (Exclusively Platonic) 

Saori is the image of poise, of elegance, that is what all who meet her say. She once escaped from an attack in her home village and arrived at the Temple of Hanzo, where Goddess Omi chose her as her most holy. This position has made her wary of your kind and, along with The Master of the Mark, her existence proves dangerous to you and all who share your nature.

This story deals with topics such as: grief, death, violence, dissociative amnesia, sexual themes (optional and consensual), mentions of child abuse and neglect.
